Parakletos

Generative visual synthesis and electroacoustic sound · 2021

Parakletos builds a continuous metallic surface that folds, scores and re-forms itself in time with the sound rather than alongside it — the image is not synchronised to the audio, it is generated from the same process.

Circular apertures open in the surface and close again, briefly suggesting an eye, then dissolving before the figure can settle.
