Dystopia Trilogy
WebVR trilogy — "New Normal," "Covid-19," "Lockdown" · browser-native, no headset required · 2021
Three environments built during global lockdown, each one a place a visitor can enter and not quite orient inside. Scanned fragments of Melbourne streets drift on a black ground; disembodied hands and an eye assemble into something that is nearly a body; photogrammetric shopfronts curve away from the viewer at the wrong angle.
The trilogy was made to run in a browser rather than on dedicated hardware, so that work about isolation could actually reach people who were isolated.
